Disclaimer

1. General Information Only

The information and tools on morsecodelive.com (the "Site"), operated by Morse Code Live ("we," "our," or "us"), are provided for general, educational, and entertainment purposes. By using the Site, you agree to this Disclaimer and to our Terms of Use.

2. Translation Accuracy

We try to make the tools accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every result is correct or complete.

Text and Morse code: the translator supports a limited set of letters, numbers, and punctuation. Characters outside that set may be skipped or not translated.

Audio translation: converting Morse sound into text is automatic and can make mistakes. Results depend on recording quality, background noise, sending speed, tone, and timing. A question mark means the tool heard a group of tones it could not match to a character with confidence. Always check the output yourself.

Audio limits: the audio translator accepts files up to 15 MB and up to five minutes long, and it analyzes only the first three minutes of a recording. Which file formats work depends on your browser.

Important messages: do not rely on the Site alone for anything where an error could cause harm, loss, or legal trouble.

3. Not for Emergency or Safety Use

The SOS Signal, Flashlight, sound, and vibration features are for learning and demonstration. They are not an emergency communication system. Do not depend on the Site to call for help or to send a distress signal. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number or the proper authorities. The Site is not approved for maritime, aviation, military, or other regulated or safety-critical communication.

4. Flashing Light Warning

The Flashlight feature blinks a bright, round lamp on your screen in the rhythm of Morse code. It does not use your phone's camera light or any other hardware light. The faster the speed you choose, the faster the lamp blinks. Flashing lights can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy or related conditions, even if they have never had a seizure before. Do not use this feature if you or anyone nearby may be sensitive to flashing lights. Press Stop Flash or the Escape key at any time. If you feel dizzy, unwell, or notice any symptoms, stop right away and seek medical advice. The SOS Signal feature is sound only and does not flash.

5. Sound, Vibration, and Microphone

Sound: Morse tones can be sharp and repetitive. Start with a low volume, and take breaks to protect your hearing, especially with headphones.

Vibration: this works only on some phones and tablets, and may be blocked by silent mode or browser settings. It does not work on most computers.

Microphone: use of the microphone is optional and under your control. Your browser asks for permission, and you can turn it off at any time. Please use it only where recording or listening is allowed.

6. Learning Content

The lessons, charts, drills, and NATO alphabet pages are general reference material. They are not official training, an exam guide, or a license or certification of any kind. Rules and standards used by specific organizations may differ, so check the official source for any regulated or professional purpose. We are not affiliated with NATO, ICAO, ITU, or any government, military, or amateur radio body.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Content

The Site may show ads from Google AdSense and may link to other websites and services, including sharing services such as WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and Telegram. We do not control or endorse these ads, sites, or services, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Any dealings you have with advertisers or other sites are your own responsibility.

8. Use at Your Own Risk

You use the Site at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm that results from using the Site or relying on its information, tools, or results. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," and it may be changed or taken offline at any time.

9. Errors and Corrections

If you find a mistake in a chart, lesson, or translation, please email us at support@morsecodelive.com. We review corrections and fix confirmed errors when we can.
