1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of morsecodelive.com (the "Site"), operated by Morse Code Live ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. What the Site Offers

The Site is a free collection of Morse code and NATO phonetic alphabet tools and learning pages. They include a text-to-Morse and Morse-to-text translator with sound, an on-screen flashlight lamp, an SOS sound signal, vibration, and WAV download; an audio translator that converts Morse sound from a file or microphone into text; a NATO alphabet speller, quiz, and PDF; and lessons, an ear trainer, and drills for learning Morse code. The tools run in your browser. Some tools have limits on file size, recording length, or message length.

3. Who May Use the Site

You may use the Site if you can form a binding agreement where you live. If you are under 18, please use the Site with the permission of a parent or guardian.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • break any law or the rights of others;
  • try to damage, overload, or interfere with the Site or its security;
  • use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to copy the Site or send heavy traffic to it;
  • try to access parts of the Site you are not meant to reach; or
  • use the Site to send harassing, harmful, or misleading messages.

We may block or limit access to anyone who breaks these rules.

5. Your Content and Files

Text you type, audio files you choose, and sound from your microphone are processed in your browser and are not sent to us. You are responsible for what you enter and for having the right to use any audio file you open. The translations and files you create from your own input are yours to use as you like.

6. Accuracy and No Guarantees

We work to keep the tools and lessons correct, but we do not promise that every translation, chart, or lesson is free of errors. Audio translation in particular depends on recording quality, speed, noise, and tone, and results should be checked. Please read our Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms.

7. Device Features

Some features depend on your device and browser, such as sound, microphone access, vibration, clipboard access, and file downloads. They may not work on every device, and the audio file formats the audio translator can open depend on your browser. The Flashlight feature blinks a bright lamp on your screen. Please read the flashing light warning in our Disclaimer before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

The Site's text, layout, design, logo, charts, and code are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes, including downloading the files it creates for you. You may not copy, republish, sell, or rebuild the Site's content or design without our written permission. Morse code and the NATO phonetic alphabet are public standards, and we claim no ownership of them.

9. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The Site may show ads provided by Google AdSense and uses Google Analytics. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control the ads shown, and we do not endorse the products or services advertised. Any dealings you have with advertisers are between you and them.

10. Links to Other Websites

The Site may link to other websites, including the share buttons for WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and Telegram. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

11. Changes to the Site

We may change, pause, or remove any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. The Site is free, and we do not promise that any feature will always be available.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Morse Code Live and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed US $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and costs that arise from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
